Solomon strayed from the Lord when he began to gather numerous wives to himself from foreign countries. Many of his wives worshiped idols and they turned his heart away from God and into the same idolatry.
We must have a love of God that motivates us to keep His commandments. We must never let anyone or anything become more important to us than our Lord. We must never cherish something that God hates. And we cannot live today on yesterday’s spiritual accomplishments.
