We need to show sympathy to those who are mourning. We need to demonstrate to those people that we are there for support but it is often best for us to say nothing at all. There are many things we may say which are inaccurate and which will only make them feel more upset.
We need to encourage them to wait a while before making any major decisions. We need to understand that it’s okay for men to cry. And we need to understand that there is no timetable for grief but it will eventually come to an end.
