Christians are like workmen who use the “hammer” of God’s word to build up His house. A hammer always uses its head. A hammer drives home its points. A hammer in the wrong hands can be dangerous. It’s bad for a hammer to fly off its handle. A hammer is a constructive knocker. A hammer sometimes misses its mark. A hammer has claws to correct its mistakes. And a hammer is better when it’s worn out than when it’s rusted out.
