The ladder to Heaven which Jacob saw implies that God is interested in the world He created. He is aware of what goes on in this world. He is concerned for His children and He is active in His providence. The ladder also indicates that someone could come to Earth from Heaven and Jesus did exactly that. And the ladder is also evidence that it’s possible for people to leave Earth and go to Heaven; we have access to Heaven through Christ.
