God gave us different instructions in the New Testament than He gave in the Old Testament. Christ took the old law out of the way when He died on the cross. If we uphold one act of the old law we are responsible for following all of it. We can never follow the old law perfectly and we wouldn’t want to participate in many of the things that come along with it.
