Jesus holds all authority in heaven and on earth. He alone has the right to determine how we can worship God in an acceptable manner. We have to use His teachings as recorded in the New Testament as the basis of our worship. If we strive to honor our Lord we must obey the commandments He gave us for doing so. We cannot add things to worship which Christ did not authorize.
