We can draw several lessons from the conversion of Saul of Tarsus. We learn that the least likely candidates for conversion can become the strongest Christians; we should not avoid teaching the gospel to anyone based on prejudgments. We also learn that faith alone does not save us we must obey the gospel and wash away our sins in baptism. We learn that obedience should be immediate. And we learn that it is possible to study the Bible for years but still misunderstand God’s plan of salvation.
