God’s word instructs us not to even begin drinking and it also tells us to avoid getting close enough to even be tempted by it. The word translated as “wine” in the Bible does not always mean intoxicating wine as we often use the word today. It can also mean grape juice depending on its context. Jesus would not damage His body yield His body to sin endanger others place a stumbling block before others or violate God’s law. Nor will He permit the members of His body to do so.
