Don’t Take God’s Name in Vain

The name of God is sacred. The Jews of the Old Testament would not even pronounce His name for fear of taking it in vain. We must be mindful of our actions; as God’s children we must not behave in a way that could cause others to criticize Him. We must be especially careful not to use the name of God in blasphemy in times of disappointment in everyday conversation and in our jokes.
