We need to be careful whom we allow to be our friends. Other people’s examples can have a powerful influence on us and can put our souls in jeopardy. We cannot let anyone else make our decisions for us. We need to be more concerned with pleasing God than with pleasing people. And an unscrupulous and unconcerned government can cause great distress among the people.
