Jesus teaches us that we should always be willing to forgive those who have wronged us. As Christians God has forgiven us of countless sins so it is ungodly for us to hold grudges against others for their trespasses. We must forgive in order to imitate God. We must forgive because Jesus commands it. And we must forgive in order to obtain forgiveness.
