Gambling has the power to dominate and destroy people’s lives. It interferes with family relationships. It can result in domestic violence. It disrupts parents’ roles as providers and caretakers for their children. It often leads to suicide not only by gamblers but also by their spouses. It almost always results in a net loss of money. And even if we never face these severe consequences we will set a terrible example for those around us if we gamble.
