God is full of mercy. His mercy is plentiful tender and everlasting. God’s mercy for us is based upon affection; He cares for us as His children. His mercy is also associated with anguish over pain; it hurts Him to watch us suffer. And when He feels mercy for us He will quickly assist us. We are each expected to reciprocate mercy once we’ve received it and we should pay God back for His mercy by helping the poor and the needy.
