Jesus Christ is the door to the church. We are cleansed from our sins by His blood which we contact in baptism. And we are saved by God’s grace but we must do as He tells us in order to accept it.
We are only eligible for baptism if we have heard and believed the Gospel if we have repented of our sins and if we have confessed our belief that Jesus is the Son of God. And no one can be baptized on our behalf.
