Marriage is emphasized in the Bible not only through passages dealing directly with it but also through accounts of the relationships of Bible figures with their spouses. Prayer is an essential part of finding a spouse; only God’s providence can supply us with our best match. Beauty sexual purity work ethic and maturity are excellent qualities to look for in a spouse. But we should primarily look for someone who will help us maintain our spiritual course.
