The Lord’s people may sometimes grow weak and in those times we need to be stirred up. We need more exposure to the word of God and we need to be encouraged to good works. In those times we need to pray for a revival of our spirits.
Also we will all suffer persecution if we are living as faithful children of God. We should not hate our enemies but we should instead pray for them to repent of their sins and be forgiven. Vengeance is not our place but the Lord’s.
