If we do not respect God and repent of our sins against Him we will be punished for those sins in the Day of Judgment.
Though we may hide our sins from other people in this life we cannot hide a single one of them from God. Our daily lives need to be motivated and guided by faith.
We must not allow ourselves to be sidetracked from our primary works of glorifying God helping the needy and saving souls.
And God’s servants are not wrong to look forward to a reward for their service.
