In the time when Haggai preached the people of Israel built their own houses when they should have been rebuilding God’s temple. Unholiness was growing within them rather than righteousness.
Procrastination can hinder God’s cause in any generation. We may live with our sins longer than we have to when we can accept God’s grace right now.
We are never guaranteed another day to obey the Gospel. And if we wait for a convenient season it may never come.
