Ezra led the second group of Jews out of captivity. His purpose was to restore children of Israel’s obedience to God’s law.
We all have a responsibility to spread the word of God like Ezra but not all of us will have an opportunity to go into other parts of the world to preach it. If we do not have that opportunity we have a responsibility to support those who can.
