Paul’s Letter to Philemon

When Onesimus ran away he may have deprived Philemon of services injured his character or stolen from him. But Paul entreated Philemon to receive his servant back with kindness.

Paul treated Onesimus like a son when he was in his care. He noted that God’s providence may have been at work in Onesimus’ conversion. And he explained that Philemon and Onesimus now shared a spiritual relationship.
